Obituary of Charles McDowell

At West End Villa, Ottawa, on Monday, March 18, 2024 in his 92nd year.  Husband of the late Sheila Richardson. Son of the late Dora Black and Goldwin McDowell. Father of Catherine MacFarlane (late Stuart), Joanne Hartnett (Ron), the late Margaret Rawlins (Lee), Susan Leach (Gary) and Chris McDowell (Kelena). Grandfather of Thomas, Cynthia, Katie, Mitchell, Matthew, Jennifer, Joshua and Ryan and step-grandfather of Erin, Bradley, Michael and the late Chris.  Great grandfather of Stuart, Logan, Grace, Aaron, Kiera and Karter. Predeceased by his sister, Patricia Kennedy.  He says goodbye to his Shawville Richardson family, who were a large part of his life, his hunting and fishing buddies and to the coffee gang at Hursty’s. 

Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. , followed by the funeral service and luncheon at the funeral home. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Shawville United Church.
