Obituary of Carlene Patricia Dellaire

July 19th, 1971 - July 28th, 2023

Carlene, 52, unexpectedly passed away, Friday, July 28th, 2023 as the result of a head-on collision. Carlene is survived by her husband, Glenn Gauthier (her Papabear), her children Christopher, Michael (spouse Melissa Dolan), Brittanee, and Hannah Mahusky and step-daughter Ashley (spouse James) McLeod. Her grandchildren Juniper McLeod, Clayton, Clara and soon to be born Carlee-Anne Mahusky. Carlene was the only daughter of Reta and the late Gary Behm (April 3rd, 2023).

Carlene is also survived by her brothers Joey (spouse LeeAnn) Dellaire and Johnny (spouse Stacey) Dellaire; sister-in-law Kathleen (spouse Luke Richard) Gauthier and brother-in-law Nicholas (spouse Dana McGuire) Gauthier; mother-in-law Viola (late Denis Gauthier) Beaudoin as well as her grandmother Clara Behm and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Carlene was born and raised in Renfrew County and later moved to the Pontiac with her husband, where she truly opened up and got to enjoy the thrills of life. Her parents taught her values and decency and to do anything for anyone and expect nothing in return, that she then passed on to her children, which made her even more proud to be their amazing mother.

Carlene was always filled with life. In her free time, you could find her reading a book, gardening, going out dancing, travelling and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. The things she loved the most about life was going on new and crazy adventures, trying new things and being outdoors (whether it be 4-wheeling, hunting or fishing) with the love of her life, her Papabear, forever and always.

Carlene worked as a hairdresser for many years before becoming a PSW at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, where she worked for 10 years. Carlene then became a devoted Care Giver and friend to Jamie Chamberlain.

‘Though my experiences may have been cut short, my love and memories will live on through the ones I left behind. I will always be with you, look for me; I am the butterfly, the rainbow, the beam of sunshine, the shapes in the clouds and the Sunflowers growing wild.’

A joint Celebration of Life with her Dad, Gary Behm will be held on August 12th, 2023 at the Eganville Legion from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Valley Heritage Radio Station 98.7 or any Royal Canadian Legion Branch would be appreciated.
