Obituary of Edward "Eddie" O'Brien

The O’Brien family is deeply saddened and shocked by Eddie’s sudden passing on Saturday, April 1st 2023 at the family farm; he had just celebrated his 68th birthday. Son of the late Sylvester O’Brien and the late Yvonne Chaput. Eddie will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Gene O’Brien (nee Drapeau) that he shared 42 wonderful years of marriage. Loving and devoted dad of Peggy (Corby), Melanie, Justin and Christopher (Katie). Special and adored Poppa of 8 amazing grandchildren: Jayden, Jacob, Donavon, Logan, Quinn, Greyson, “Chatty” Maddie and Declan. Dear brother of Helen (Bruce Davis), Pauline (Barry Letang) and Carol Anne (Michael Ryan). He is predeceased by his sister Joan (Max Payne). Eddie’s memories will be cherished by his many nieces, nephews, the Drapeau family and extended family and friends.

Friends may call at the Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St. Jacques Street, Chapeau, Quebec on Tuesday, April 4th 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 5th in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau at 11 a.m. Interment parish cemetery.
