Jennifer Rivet

Obituary of Jennifer Rivet

It is with overwhelming sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Jennifer Marguerite Rivet on Saturday February 4, 2023 at the young age of 43 years old. Jennifer was the loving wife of Robert Butler whom she was with for over 24 years. She will be deeply missed by her 7 lovely children, Cassandra, Ryan, Cohen, Ashton, Nathan, Noah, and Dalilah and Heidi, who was like another daughter; her doting father Denis Rivet; her 3 beautiful sisters Krista-Leigh, Brittany and Katlen (Andy Dubeau); her helpful brother-in-law Rolland Perriard (Amy Jerome) and very close sister-in-law Rita Perriard (Rob Carrier) as well as all of her many cherished nieces, nephews and extended family. She is predeceased by her mother Melanie Judith Rivet, grandparents John and Jean Stanley and her niece Mariah.

For many years Jennifer chose to be an amazing stay at home mom and wife. She devotedly raised her 7 children, who she was crazy about, with pride alongside her supportive husband. She loved traveling, especially with her family, taking numerous memorable road trips as well as flying out to one of her favourite spots in British Columbia. In recent years she decided to pursue an education in Accounting. After graduating with honours and working in the field for two years she decided to further her education in a different field. Following in her late mothers footsteps, Jennifer enrolled at Heritage College to become a registered nurse while both working as a personal support worker in the Pontiac and taking care of her full family. Jennifer made friends everywhere she went, at work, at school, online and here in this very community. She was an astounding, humorous and brave woman whose love knew no bound. She will be severely missed by all who knew her.  There will be a private family get together at a later date.
