I am just seeing this now and I am shocked about Bob's passing back in January. I hadn't seen him since high school in Barry's Bay back in the early 70s, however he was one of my best friends in Barry's Bay from Grade 1 until he moved to Bryson with his family to manage the hotel there. I have memories of going to many free movies with him, and also jumping off the shed roof into the deep snow. I got stuck in the snow and his father had to come and rescue me. I remember his sisters, all younger than us being around also. It was sad when he had to move away, however he did return to Barry's Bay to complete his high schooling at MVDHS. We renewed our friendship then. In 1974 my younger brother was in a very serious car accident and spent 3 months in the Civic Hospital in Ottawa. Bob had gone in, at least once to visit Ralph and even left a transistor radio for him so he could listen to music. My deepest condolences to his wife and family and also to his sisters.
