Obituary of Andrew Rice

It is with sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Uncle Andy in his 80th year, in the Foyer Gracefield surrounded by his niece Maureen, nephew Robert and great niece Ellen.

Born and raised in Venosta where he remained a proud lifelong resident; he was the youngest son of the late James Rice and Margaret Haveron.  He worked at the NCC followed by many enjoyable years at Mont Ste-Marie; he was also always there to help on the family farm.

To cherish his memories, he leaves behind his youngest sister Doreen and his sister-in-law Lee.  Along with Bob and Lee’s children Maureen, Margaret (Trevor Jones), Robert (Shelley Day) and Frank, Mildred and Raymond’s girls Karen and Aline, Doreen and Jack’s children Jennifer and Jamie as well as many cherished great nieces and nephews.

He is also predeceased by his brothers Jimmy and Bobby, sisters Mildred and Evelyn, brother-in-laws Willis Begley, Raymond Mayer and Jack Thompson.

Special thanks to the staff at the Foyer Gracefield for their compassionate care.
