Obituary of Mary Calvert

On Friday, August 22, 2014 in hospital, Shawville, Quebec at the age of 87 years. Loving wife of the late Robert J. "Bob" Calvert Sr. of Ottawa and Bristol. Beloved wife of the late Rod J. Gaudet of Ottawa and Toronto. Stepmother of the late Robert (Lorraine), of Bristol and Adrian of Ottawa, step-grandmother of Mark, Patrick, Jennifer, Stephanie, Leyna and Kayleigh. Only daughter of the late Wm. Dudley and Mabel Gamble of Ottawa and Norway Bay. Sister of the late John (late Cecile) and late Robert (late Doreen). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Founder and past president of the Norway Bay Historical Society. Mary's keen mind and her dedication to capturing and giving life to family and community history provided inspiration to many. Special thanks to Dr. MacLellan and Dr. Smith, the staff at Reid Home, Terry and Cathy (Easton) Gamble, Tom and Lynda (Gamble) Healey, her constant companion Penny the Dog and her generous caregivers and neighbours. At Mary's request there will be no viewing or service. A Celebration of Mary’s life will take place at a later date. Interment Norway Bay United Cemetery.
