Obituary of Rhea Vaillancourt (nee Allard)

Passed away peacefully on July 24, 2020 in her 97th year surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Loyola Allard and the late Alice Chartrand. Beloved wife of the late Jean Vaillancourt since their marriage in 1948. Loving mother of Andre (Mary Anne Keon) Charles (Penny Bucholtz) and Louise (Nigel Rimmer). Memere to Lise (Ian Gagnon), Raymond (Stephanie Morris), Jonny (Alicia Fraser), Sam (Kiersten Smith) and David (Kelsey McDonald) Vaillancourt and Charlotte (Pat Goulet), Phil and Amanda (Stephane Huneault) Rimmer. Great-grandmother to Claudia, Marissa, Lucy, Myah and Rhea Gagnon and Eden, Eli, Hanna, Harold, Quinn, Clayton and Ruby Vaillancourt, Rylee and Kenzie Rimmer-Huneault. Dear sister to the late Roland (Alice) the late Annette (Bernard St-Onge) the late Jeanne (Maurice Picotte) the late Rene (Therese). Survived by her sister Jacqueline (Remi Vaillancourt) and her brother Conrad (Fleurette). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was thankful for company of her good friend Teressa McDonald upon har arrival at Daneen’s residence. A special thank you to Dr. Brian Baxter for his compassion and care. Also, a special thanks to Daneen Venasse and her team for the exemplary care that she gave during the last 6 months, her family will be eternally grateful. We wish to also thank Joan (Dana) Turner for all handholding and love she provided. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted in St. Alphonsus Church, Chapeau, Quebec in private and by invitation only. Interment parish cemetery.
