Obituary of Dianne Celestine Venasse (nee Gaudette)

God saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So he closed your weary eyelids, And whispered ‘Peace be thine’. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dianne on April 16, 2020, at her home in Pembroke, Ontario. Dianne is predeceased by her loving husband Ron, of 22 years. Dianne is survived by her siblings Allan (Shirley), Romeo (Simone), Maureen (James), Wallace, Larry (Lisa) and predeceased by Lorna, Aurore (Roland) and Geraldine. Loving mother of Maurice (Jean-Marc), Darlene (Leonel), Wilfred, Richard (Amy) and step-mother of James (Christina), Michael, Thomas (Carla) and Melisa (Edward); predeceased by Colleen and Robert. Dianne is survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she took great pride in and loved to spoil. Dianne was raised in Chapeau, Quebec, but later in life moved to 100 Mile House, British Columbia, enjoying many years with Ron and their family. In recent years, Dianne moved back to the Pembroke area, spending time with her children and grandchildren; she even enjoyed a trip to Florida to see the palm trees! She will be remembered for her enjoyment of cooking up a storm for others, her famous cabbage rolls and her love for shopping. She holds a special place in many hearts and will never be forgotten. A Celebration of Life to follow at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated.
