Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" LeClair

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth “Liz” Keyes of Luskville, Quebec at the  age of 79.  She passed peacefully in the Shawville Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.  Born and raised in Ottawa, she was one of 8 children.  Liz was predeceased by her parents Leonard and Azeta LeClair.  Predeceased by her 5 brothers Mike, Patrick, David, Normie and Robert.  Predeceased by her sisters-in-law; Edie and Jeannie.  She is survived by her two sisters-in-law; Betty LeClair and Patsy LeClair and her two sisters Janet Lavigne (Jack) and Mary Delaney (late Jim).  

Liz leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Liz was a mother to her stepchildren Sara Wilson (Sean) of Halifax N.S. and Andrew Keyes (Sarah) of Sudbury ON.  Her four grandchildren, Reece Keyes, Taylor, Adam and Blake Wilson were her greatest joys.  

Liz married the love of her life Charles “Chuck” Keyes 25 years ago in Sudbury.  Liz worked for the Minister of the Attorney General at the Sudbury courthouse.  She leaves behind friends in Black Bay, Sudbury, Manitoulin Island, and the Val de Mont area.  

A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Pontiac Community Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, for their care and support. An inurnment and celebration of life will take place in the spring.
