Obituary of Ardel Mulligan

Peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in her 73rd year. Predeceased by her husband William (Billy) Mulligan. Daughter of the late Charlie and Mary (nee Trudeau) Chabot. Dear mother of Valerie (Ron Telford), Leo (Michelle) and Jennifer. Loved grandmother of Leah (Cody Munro), Brian, Brandon, Hannah, Kyle, Autum, Riddick, Rhuari, Emma-Leigh, Laura (Roger Gonzales) & Steve. Great-grandmother to five, soon to be six. Dear sister to Gwen (late Donald Mayhew), Connie (late Donnie Sparling), Bernie (Linda), and Roger (Betty). Predeceased by siblings Floyd, Jimmy (Bridget), Stan (late Ann), Marion (late Pat Lagace), Rose (late Milton Hodgins), Joseph, Delmar (late Joyce), & Shirley (late Pat O’Meara). Sister-in-law to Elizabeth (late Bert Laronde), Brother Bernard (Barney – twin to Billy) Mulligan OMI, Sister Mary Mulligan, John (Margaret), Philip (late Peggy); late Edgar (late Elise), late Terrence (late Beth, and Darlene), late Athol (late Margaret), late Sister Josephine Mulligan, late Francis (Edith), late Andrew, and late Joseph (late Ruth). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends and neighbours. She was a great mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend and a dedicated member of St. Edward’s Parish. She will be remembered by many as a wonderful and master artisan, whose knitting and crocheting skills were greatly valued by many, both near and far. Friends may call at W. J. Hayes & Sons Funeral Home, 134 Centre St., Shawville, Quebec on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 9-10 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 10:30 am in St. Edward’s Roman Catholic Church, Bristol, Quebec. Interment St. Edward’s Cemetery. Donations to St. Edward’s Church or Pontiac Community Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated.
