Obituary of Isabella Morrison (nee Davis)

February 9, 1925 – November 3, 2020 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Isabella, at Pontiac Community Hospital on November 3, 2020. Left to mourn are her children, Dorothy, Elma, Edward (Norma), Debbie (Andrew) and Wendy; her grandchildren, Melissa (Randy), Erin (Alexis), Stephanie (Aaron), Erika, Jenny, Hillary, Stephen (Emily) and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Sofia, Jackson, Eli, Victoria, Léo, Olivia and Niko. Predeceased by her husband, Eldon (2004), her parents, Graham and Isabella Davis , siblings, Helena (late George), Agnes (late Hiram), Hazel (late Orville), Ethel (late Arnold) and Hiram (late Margaret). Mom enjoyed many years working at the Pontiac Community Hospital, was an avid quilter, knitter and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Shawville UCW for many years. Above all, she cherished her time with her family, especially visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her door was always open and the table set for anyone who stopped by for a visit. Special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Hospital for the compassion and care given to Mother during her final days. We are especially grateful to the staff at the Friends of St. Joseph Manor for providing Mom with an excellent quality of life during the last six years. Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 134 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, November 6, 2020 from 7 to 9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. Maple Grove Cemetery. Although the service is restricted to family only, they wish to invite friends and family to view the service remotely via Facebook. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Friends of St. Joseph Manor, Campbell’s Bay, or to the Shawville United Church would be greatly appreciated by the family. “You will always be in our hearts! Rest in peace, Mom.”
