Obituary of Yvette Lacroix

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvette Gleason (nee Lacroix). She is predeceased by her loving husband, Emmanuel Gleason, her beautiful daughter Eileen Gleason, her loving parents, John and Melvina Lacroix (nee Bastien) and her brothers and sisters; Rita, Frank, Valencia, Charlotte, Flavie and Richard. She will be sadly missed by her remaining sister, Valentina Mayer (nee Lacroix). Mom passed quietly on September 9, 2020 with her loving family by her side, Gerald (Louise), Shirley (Barry), Lynn, Jim (Donna) and Elaine (Paul). She leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was a beautiful soul who raised a big family and worked very hard all her life. She was a talented seamstress, a great cook, was always welcoming to everyone and enjoyed cooking and sharing a meal. She will be in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate nurses and staff of the Wakefield Memorial Hospital and the Long Term Care Unit. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Venosta, Quebec at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in Martindale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wakefield Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit would be appreciated.
