Obituary of Claudette Schleyer (nee Landry)

It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Claudette on Thursday, April 2, 2020 in Hull Hospital at the age of 79 years. Daughter of the late Philibert Landry and the late Isabelle Lance. Loving wife of Cedric for 56 wonderful years. Devoted and loving mother to her only daughter, late Karen (Kevin Walsh). Adored grandmother to Justin. Sadly missed by her brother Lorrain (Tina Rivet) and sisters Suzanne (Michel Laroche) and Jacqueline (Robert Brisebois), sister-in-law Elizabeth (late Maurice Lebeau) and brother-in-law Frank Schleyer (Lorraine Smith). Predeceased by her brother Robert and sisters Rose-Marie and Linda (Kevin Carswell), Barbara and Jack Tucker and brother-in-law John Schleyer. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Claudette was an incredible school teacher and touched the lives of many with her passion and devotion. Funeral service will take place at a later date. Donations made to the Muscular Dystrophy in memory of Claudette would be greatly appreciated by the family. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church, Campbell's Bay, Quebec on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at 11 a.m. Please be advised that Covid-19 precautions are still in effect. Masks are mandatory and there is limited space in the church. C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Claudette le jeudi, 2 avril 2020 à l'hôpital de Hull à l'âge de 79 ans. Fille de feu Philibert Landry et de feu Isabelle Lance. Épouse bien-aimée de Cédric pendant 56 merveilleuses années. Mère dévouée et aimante de sa fille unique, feu Karen (Kevin Walsh). Grand-mère adorée de Justin. Tristement manquée par son frère Lorrain (Tina Rivet) et ses soeurs; Suzanne (Michel Laroche) et Jacqueline (Robert Brisebois), belle-sœur Elizabeth (feu Maurice Lebeau) et beau-frère Frank Schleyer (Lorraine Smith). Prédécédée par son frère Robert et ses sœurs Rose-Marie et Linda (Kevin Carswell), Barbara et Jack Tucker et son beau-frère John Schleyer. Tante spéciale de nombreux neveux et nièces. Claudette était une enseignante incroyable et a touché la vie de plusieurs avec sa passion et son dévouement. Les funérailles auront lieu à une date ultérieure. Des dons à la Dystrophie musculaire en mémoire de Claudette seraient grandement appréciés par la famille. La messe des funérailles sera célébrée à l'église St-Jean l'Évangéliste, Campbell's Bay, Québec le mercredi, 12 août 2020 à 11h. Veuillez noter que les précautions concernant Covid-19 sont toujours en vigueur, les masques sont obligatoire et il y aura des espaces limitées dans l'église.
