Obituary of Peter Lacelle

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Peter Lacelle, on January 1st, 2020. He was 58. He leaves behind his devoted chérie Céline Ethier, his sister Geraldine Lacelle (Dwight Sdrogefske) and his in-laws Ronald Ethier, Robert Ethier (Lise Ethier), Gisèle Ethier-Savoie (André Savoie) along with his niece and nephews and his extended family, as he his reunited with his late parents, Janet (née McDonald) and Richard Lacelle. He was honoured to have worked on Parliament Hill in many capacities for over 30 years, most proudly as a member of the Senate Protective Service (PPS) and loved nothing more than cooking chicken wings, watching football and playing guitar by the fire at the lake, all surrounded by friends and family. His teasing and infectious sense of humour, his fabulous handle-bar moustache and the mischievous twinkle in his eye will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service and a celebration of his life will be held in Otter Lake early this summer.
