Obituary of Winnifred Roberts (nee Rooney)

With saddened hearts, we announce that our dearest sister, grandmother, aunt and mother-in- law, Winnifred “Winnie” Roberts passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at  Pontiac Reception Centre, Shawville, Quebec.  She went on to be reunited with her daughter Valerie Stephens (Robert), who predeceased her on July 30, 2005 as well as her brothers and her sisters Lornie Rooney (Marjorie), Gladys Hobbs (Minard), George Rooney (Marie), Rita Spence (Dana), Joyce Draper (Ron), Donald Rooney (Brenda) and Emmerson Rooney (Gayle).  Survived by her sister Roberta Hobbs (Milburn); grandson Andrew Stephens (Jill); great grandsons Adrian and Jalen; her loving son-in-law Bob Stephens as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Funeral Service will be celebrated in Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle, 209 Centre Street, Shawville, Quebec on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 1 p.m.  Interment Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery.  Family will receive condolences during the reception following the interment in the church hall. Donations to the Pontiac Reception Centre Foundation or the Bethel Pentecostal Tabernacle would be appreciated.
