Obituary of Bud Elliott

ELLIOTT, Charles “Bud” Bud Charles Elliott passed peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital late on January 3rd at the age of 83 after a long and courageous fight with diabetes and kidney failure. He is survived by his sweetheart and wife for 62 years Isabel Elliott, his children Lynn Lang and husband Elwyn, Charles Elliott and wife Elizabeth, Marsha Richardson and husband Myles, and Barbara Carson and husband John. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Angel Onafrychuk, Robert Lang, Ralph Lang, Alyssa Richardson, Andrew Lang, Charlie Richardson, and Candis Austin. Bud was also the proud great grandfather of Kendal, Grayson, Ryan, Abbigail, Payton, Addison, Marissa, Gibson, Ben, and Garrett. Bud was predeceased by his brothers Hubert and Cedric. He has one surviving brother Russell and his wife Edith as well as sister-in- laws Iva Elliott (Hubert), Eve Elliott (Cedric), Amy Griffith (John), Merle Hobbs and her husband Weldon, Susan Russell (Murray), Lois Callaghan and her husband Bill, and Florence Barber (Art). Bud was the much beloved and respected patriarch of his family. Bud was a great teacher who taught by example and we are all better people for emulating him. The deer will be safer at the Vanduski now, but the heavy equipment where he has gone will now get a great workout. The family want to extend their thanks to the Shawville Community and Renfrew Victoria Hospitals and their staff for the many years of wonderful care he has received. We want to send a special thank-you to the staff in the dialysis unit and the third floor staff at the Renfrew hospital for the special care they provided. Visitation will be held in Stark’s Corners United Church, Stark’s Corners, Quebec on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at which time a Service will be held. In lieu of flowers please send donations to The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation (Dialysis Unit).
