Obituary of John Joseph Jennings

Peacefully, at home, with his family by his side on Wednesday March 14, 2018. John Joseph Neil (Jack) Jennings at the age of 85. Son of the late Neil Jennings and Doris Hayes.  Jack leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 56 years, Marilyn Lapierre. Loving father of Jeff (late Carole), Ann Marie (Jean Giroux), and Jodi. Cherished Grandpa of John, Emma, Thomas and Olivia. Dear brother of Jim (Anastasia), Anne (Dr. Wilbert Keon), Rose Marie (Phil Levesque). Predeceased by his brother Bob (Jeannine). Jack will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews. Special thank you to the many health care professionals and support staff who were so kind and caring. Jack was a devoted family man and his positive personality was infectious. He always looked forward to springtime and heading to the cottage that he dearly loved in Sheenboro.  Friends may call at Hayes Funeral Home, 56 St-Jacques St., Chapeau, Quebec on Sunday,  March 18, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral mass will be held in St. Paul the Hermit Church, Sheenboro Quebec on Monday, March 19 at 11 a.m. Interment parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre, The Ottawa Heart Institute, CHEO or a charity of your choice.
